Fine Dining

In the late 1840's, weary travelers making thier way across the wilds of Wisconsin were treated to hospitality and good food at a popular stagecoach inn known as the Thorpe Hotel. Located in Sheboygan Falls, the inn welcomed both man and beast as it featured 10 rooms and a livery stable for the guests' horses. The years have brought many changes to the building, but none as dramatic as 30 years ago when it was lovingly restored. Today, the colonial frame structure with Georgian overtones houses Richard's Restaurant and Crown Room, one of Sheboygan County's premier dining facilities. And while times change, hospitality and good food still greet guests to this historic building.
In addition to Richard's dining area and cocktail lounge, the Crown Room offers complete banquet and meeting facilities for up to 350 guests. Originally the livery stable for the Thorpe Hotel, the Crown Room allows plenty of space for guests to "kick up their heels". The Crown Room's extensive banquet facilities are offered with the same enthusiasm and hospitality found throughout Richard's Restaurant.
The emphasis at Richard's has always been, and will continue to be, providing guests with delicious food and personalized service in a relaxed yet elegant atmosphere
